Goal #4: Go camping 5 times (2 & 3/5)

2/5 - Moab!

Moab is one of my very favorite places in the world and this trip was a life saver. We handed the girls over to Joey's parents and away we went for a delightful weekend of canyoneering and family bonding with Joey and three of my brothers and a sister-in-law. It felt really great knowing that after three years of child-raising we still had it. April is a most fabulous time of year to visit Moab, except that everyone has spring break in April, so we went at the end of the month. Our itinerary: Pool Arch, dinner at the Moab Brewery, camping at Kings Creek with a hundred other people, Medieval Chamber, lunch at Zak's, and then back home. If only we could do that every weekend.

3/5 - Nephi

This wasn't a true, overnight camping trip, but I'm still counting it. We took the girls and Grandpa Rob down to the family's property outside of Nephi to play, build a fire, and ride the 4 wheeler. We LOVE the 4 wheeler, even though Sadie ended up being sick and barfy. Plus Joey and his dad saw a lynx, which is totally rare in Utah. So rare that the last sighting was recorded in 2010. A full day of dirt and adventure. It was awesome.
