I had taken Sadie once to library story time at the Wasatch County
Library and we ended up leaving 5 minutes later. I wanted to keep going back so
that Sadie has opportunities to interact with other kids and develop some important
social skills since we don't do preschool yet and there are hardly any kids her
age in the neighborhood and I'm not a mom-group kind of mom and I don't even
have friends nearby if I wanted to be a mom-group kind of mom. This is the text
I sent my mom a few hours after we went to library story time this time around:
"We went to library story time this morning. My daughter is one of
"those" children who doesn't understand that when everyone is sitting
it's time to sit down, who runs around and throws tantrums in front of all the
other kids (and their parents), whose mother doesn't brush her hair or clean
her snotty oatmeal face. But my other daughter was mesmerized and cooperated wonderfully
while I chased the first one around." I won't say who was who, but it was
a pretty hectic experience. Still worth it and I'm determined to go back soon.
